I love coming in to pay my monthly bill for our Internet service. The staff is so friendly that it makes what might possibly be a negative experience (bill payment!) into a quick and painless one!
We are very pleased with our Internet service overall- speedy, & reasonably priced!
No plans to change our service provider anytime soon!

I'm happy to pay my bills to Westman Communications Group. I have always specified clearly to them that I am to be billed on paper sent to me. I have always asked them to note this on my file. Someone from there billing department (you know who you are) just decided to stop sending me paper bills without letting me know and then cut off my internet without notifying me. How would you like it if someone turned off a utility that you like receiving. Oops sorry hardly restores my confidence in your competence. Just how hard is it to send a bill to your customers. Do you not appreciate the hard working people that are willing and able to pay. I don't think that asking for a paper bill is too much to ask? Do you agree?

So, I’ve dealt with westman com for years. The service would frequently go out when I lived in Brandon and has been better since moving to a small town. Back in Brandon I had cancelled services due to the spotty service and returned the devices. Almost a year later I had received a call from a collections office stating I had owed money to westman due to items not being returned. Nobody called me to try to resolve the issue, just decided to take a bite out of my credit and send me on a months long goose chase to figure it out.

Since moving out of Brandon the outages have gone down, but when it does go out the customer support department is non-existent. Just today I’ve spent 5 hours trying to get ahold of a representative to try and figure out why my internet hasn’t been active all day.

Edit: Managed to get ahold of customer support and resolve the issue. Once I managed to get through to support they were polite and helpful. Stars have been adjusted accordingly. There just doesn’t seem to be enough people to answer the amount of calls they receive.

I have never, ever had a problem with Westman Communications in all of the times I've had to ask them for help. Every single person I have ever spoken to has been polite, kind, professional, and helpful, and they've never failed to solve any problem. I would really like to see more people give them a chance, because they deserve it!

Today, I had a problem connecting to an online game. Tech support staff I spoke to helped me get back online. No problems. They didn't make my anxiety worse. Instead, they set me up with a public IP address and got me back up and running within minutes.

Look at the reviews for this company. What more information do you need to avoid this company. They offer poor service, much slower speeds then you pay for. I have spent hours on the phone with tech support trying to fix the problems. But the customer support will treat you like its all you're fault. Trust the reviews! Pay more to a different company and get what you pay for.

Install was a bit of a gong show. They had a contractor doing it and he seemed to be struggling and took a bit longer than expected. I paid for a premium box too and the installer said he didn’t have one in the truck and tried to pressure me into keeping the non-premium cause he didn’t want to go to the office to get the correct box. He finally conceded and went and got it, with a bit of attitude.
They were great for awhile but after the special offer was up my bill went WAY up. I called and they gave me a bit of a better deal for another period of time. When the bill shot way up again they said I had to pay full price for what I thought was 3 months. I called after and the person said they remembered me and said I was told a year (12 months they stressed on the phone not a year lol). They said “to be fair” they can’t offer long term customers deals?! I don’t know how that is fair. I always paid my bill and never had an issue otherwise. They said they could give me 20% off for 6 months then 10% for 6 months after that but would be stuck paying full price when that was up. I told them I would be switching and that’s what I did. The person said after a year I would be eligible for the promotions again. So rather than collect a discounted amount for year on years they will go with no income from me and then possibly the discounted rate I wanted in the first place if I come back. Doesn’t make much sense to me if they want to make money, I guess I’m not seeing something though lol.
Went to another provider for more than half of my current bill and will be fully switched by the end of week. It’s too bad they can’t offer good deals to long term and good standing customers, just the new ones. So in a couple years I may switch back but it definitely tells me they don’t strive for loyalty.

Last summer my service was cut off, I didn't know why. I called to report it and was told it is because I have an overdue bill. Apparently I owed them $100. They never contacted me or gave me a chance to settle it. They simply cut me off. I paid the bill in full that day and cancelled their service.

6 months later I get a call from a collections agency. Supposedly I owe Westman money. I called Westman right away to ask what's up.

I didn't return their hardware. True. I forgot all about it.

They didn't contact me or notify me or make any attempt to communicate with me at all. Instead, it went straight to collections. Weird.

I do not fault a corporation for wanting what is owed to them, I frown on their approach in recovering it.

PS- I have a high credit score, the only credit mishaps I've had in decades both resulted from my business dealings with Westman Communications.
