***Do not use this company - worst company in the area and shady business practices ***
They agreed to manage my property in New Glasgow. They collected rent on my behalf from November 2024 and I am still trying to get that money transferred to me in July 2025. Then, when the tenants stopped paying in December 2024 they did absolutely nothing for months on end, never once drove out to the property in 6 months, and it became impossible to get a hold of anyone. I’d have to call repeatedly every day just to get something done, would be told things would be done and then met with excuses as to why it was not. Once the tenants were finally out and I was trying to arrange the extensive repairs and clean up left behind from squatting tenants with substance abuse problems that they placed in my home, they ghosted me, screened my calls, and hung up on me when I did get through. Not only do they still owe me money, they’ve been negligent and breached contract.
Off to small claims I go.

Review/Complaint About Yada Living – 30 Parkwood Drive (Triro Heights)

I recently moved into an apartment managed by Yada Living at 30 Parkwood Drive (Triro Heights), and I have had an extremely disappointing experience so far.

Before moving in, the management promised to address several issues within the unit. However, after I paid the first month's rent and security deposit, communication from their side became nearly non-existent. Despite calling multiple times regarding serious issues — including a broken AC, missing mailbox key, malfunctioning stove, and closet problems — they rarely responded and continuously made excuses. To date, most of these problems remain unresolved.

Safety is also a major concern. Within just a few weeks of living here, I witnessed two violent incidents in the building during the night. This makes me feel extremely unsafe and anxious in my own home.

Additionally, the common areas are poorly maintained. There is little to no regular cleaning, and the management seems to ignore basic upkeep standards, as can be seen in the photos below.

I strongly advise anyone considering a unit at this property — or any Yada Living property — to think twice. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and unsafe living conditions are not worth the stress.

Extremely Disappointed with Yada Living at Truro Heights (30 Parkwood)

We recently moved into an apartment managed by Yada Living at Truro Heights, and unfortunately, our experience has been nothing short of frustrating. Before signing the lease, management promised to fix all the existing issues in the unit — but once we moved in, none of those promises were kept.

Here are just a few of the problems we’ve faced:

Still haven’t received an AC remote.
No key provided for our mailbox, so we’ve missed important documents.
The kitchen exhaust fan is still broken.
Reaching management is nearly impossible — we have to call dozens of times before they even answer once.
To make things worse, the general condition of the building is poor:

Common areas and stairwells are never cleaned.
Safety is a concern — just last week, there was a violent fight around 2 AM outside, and it was truly terrifying.
It’s clear the management doesn’t take their responsibilities seriously. Yada Living has been unresponsive, neglectful, and unprofessional. Total waste of money. We do not recommend living at 30 Parkwood or anywhere managed by Yada Living.

They did not even deserve 1 star.👎👎👎

I am a current tenant of Yada Properties in Truro, I have had many issues with them sense them becoming landlords. My main issues is my needs not being met, yet a do pay decent for the place I’m in. However, I am still a tenant and they are still landlords with responsibilities. I have been asking for a signature for over two weeks and all I get is the middle man saying he’s not authorized, I’m paid up on my rent and if you have any issue that’s what they will ask. I have not been threatening I’m just very persistent . They usually are not in the office and if they are they sneak out early. I’m very tired of not having my things I need from them I have emailed them several times. I feel like they care more about money than actually being a landlord. They do not respect their tenants. My hot water was recently shut off and that was dealt with but it’s the other things that I need and there’s nothing, poor communication, my issues were swept under the rug. I would never expected this kind of treatment from them. I was renovicted and it’s just been getting worse sense they took over last year. If your a little late on rent they send a letter to you almost immediately for an eviction, they rather fix a unit that’s vacant first then fix something wrong in your apartment. You get the “were extremely busy” excuse if you really need something. Plain and simple I wouldn’t suggest renting from these people, I’m in a really tough situation and they don’t even care because I’m just a tenant, right? 🙄

Horrible experience all around with this company , got my husband to do renos and never paid him.
Never has garbage pick up so it's just piled behind the house.
They have 0 respect for the tenant or their home ! My lock code was given out by their property manager and it took them 2 months to come change it and only after I has words with their COO .
I wouldn't recommend this management company to anyone.

***I also have before pictures of the bathroom( couldn't use the shower or toilet upon move in, he redid the whole bathroom floor put in trim put a whole shelf in) NEVER PAID! They wanted their whole house finished before he was paid and where is that okay we're talking 4 months of work.
The harassment I was given by people within the company,A voice recording of the person who got me this apartment saying she could take it from me, as well as comments saying he would do up a contract and never did !!! Who continues to work *in this day and age* on renos without a company following through . This is the company as a whole and your response shows just how much you care about the mistreatment of ur tenants.

I've rented from a couple different landlords within the last 20yrs and had a few complications, but never have I had the awful experience that I've had/or technically still have dealing with this company. I could elaborate but I won't stoop to there level aside from this review they don't even deserve 1 star....

That management worst experience . They dont care about tenets and building . I try multiple call and email to refund damage deposit but still did not get my money almost 1 month going on .
